North Carolina based, these are high-performance upholstery textiles made from upcycled olefin (polypropylene) fibers that are naturally stain-resistant without the use of chemical treatments. Designed for durability in high-traffic homes with children and pets, these fabrics feature solution-dyed fibers, meaning the color penetrates all the way through the yarn, making them highly resistant to everyday stains such as mustard, ketchup, and markers. Unlike many other performance fabrics that rely on topical coatings, Revolution Fabrics are PFAS-free and contain no PFC “forever chemicals.” They are also easy to maintain, as most spills can be cleaned with mild soap and water, while tougher stains can be treated with bleach without fading the color or damaging the fibers. In addition to their practical benefits, the fabrics are environmentally friendly because they are made from upcycled materials that would otherwise become waste products of petroleum refining, resulting in one of the smallest carbon footprints among synthetic fibers. Their durability is further reinforced by high double-rub counts of up to 100,000, helping the fabric resist pilling and wear for many years.
